Feed the village. Hold the line. Survive another day in the cold.

In a world where the sun feels weak and the soil fights back, you’re the last planner standing. Grow food under freezing skies, spend scarce labor credits wisely, and defend your crops from what crawls out of the snow.

What you’ll do

🌱 Farm in the freeze
Plant, manage, and harvest before the old drones and time destroy your yield. Every day matters.
🛠️ Spend labor credits
A single currency that represents your village’s strength. Stay fed to earn more, fall behind and the economy collapses.
🛰️ Salvage for upgrades
Send teams out into the ruins. Bring back credits that push your survival further.
🔫 Defend the harvest
Enemies don’t just want you; they want your food. Protect the fields, stabilize the village, and keep the line from breaking.

The loop

  1. Plan your day: crops, tools, shop, and upgrades.
  2. Act: plant, repair, fertilize, scavenge.
  3. Defend when the dusk arrives.
  4. End the day: consume food → hunger/stability shifts → your next day gets easier… or brutal.

Controls

  • Left Mouse — interact / plant / select
  • 1–6 — hot bar slots
  • Esc — pause / help menu

Survival tips

  • Food first. Feeding the village keeps your labor credits flowing.
  • Diversify seeds. Don’t bet the whole run on one crop.
  • Repair tools early. Losing uses at the wrong moment is a run killer.
  • Scavenge when stable. Salvage runs are best when you can afford the food cost.

🧊 Game Jam Build
This is a jam version, expect rough edges, fast balancing, and chaotic fun. If you run into a bug, leave a comment with what you did right before it happened.

All sprites except for the UI are drawn by me! This was my first try at pixel art. This is also my first game on Godot, so I hope it's good!

The number of systems implemented in a game jam was surprising. I loved the game!

I missed perhaps being able to send multiple expeditions at the same time; it would have been an opportunity to do a riskier run.

The sound choices were also great, and the art worked well with the game's style. It could have used a little more game feel here and there (animation, particles, etc.), but nothing that impacts the experience.

I agree with your game feel point, and honestly, I didn't even know Godot had a built-in particle system, going to use that for my next game though!

The animations are one thing that I completely overlooked, but I was aiming for more functionality than visuals, I should try balancing that out a little.
